I am a chess player from Brazil, also expert in computers. I have a website in http://xadrezshop.com where you can get more information about me, and see some of my games (look at http://xadrezshop.com/privacy.php and http://xadrezshop.com/partidas/partidas.htm for the games).
I am 47, turning 48 this week (april 2009), and I have not playing tournaments seriously since about 10 years, just some small tournaments occasionally in my city. I live in a state where chess were not popular until a few years ago. In my youth I played tournaments in my state, with the players from there, and I won many of them. That time chess was not popular, and I had no support of any kind, even not a coach. Also I won a tournament in United States, a session of the WORLD OPEN 1990. Because that I got decorated by the government of my state.
In the last years, besides working with computers, I produced many chess courses and have been studing chess. But I love to play tournaments, and I am a very talented player. I have a great understanding of chess, the chess strategy that others find difficult to understand, to me is easy. Also I can calculate, easily and fast, any tactics.
I decided to do what I love, to play tournaments, and is my goal to become a international master, I can do it, yes, I can. Not for miracle, I know, I have to work hard, and I am doing that. Results in tournaments are consequence of hard and correct work, and experience playing many tournaments. 2+2=4, never 2+2=0. I mean, hard and correct work = results, a title of international master!
I can show, easily, that not only young boys can become masters. I am in the best physical conditions in all my life, I run 3 miles every day, also I swim and exercise. My food is natural, I do not smoke or drink alcohol, and, of course, not use drugs. Just for comparison, one great player named Miguel Najdorf won the championship of Argentina (one of strongest of the world) at 78. Actually we have Victor Korchnoi, about this same age, winning many internacional tournaments.
I like to play attacking, taking calculated risks, of course. My position is that ATTACK is the best strategy, I do not fear anybody, if I sit tomorrow to play the world champion, I will attack him.
Today I know what I have to do to become a master, I have what I need to learn and improve. We are in the internet age, the age of information, and with information, I can do anything. I have to work hard, not wasting a minute, or better, a second, of my time. I think TIME is the most precious good, and I do not waste any time.
What I need now are financial resources to play the tournaments. There are many expenses to play, in good conditions, the tournaments, like traveling, hotels, food etc. To improve and get the title of international master, I have to play chess ONLY, no more spending time working with computers, ONLY CHESS. That is why I need sponsorship.
I have a Paypal account, that can be useful. If you can help, contact me at enviar_dados@yahoo.com.br
This is so important, give me the sponsorship and I will get the title, I promisse.
